5 am, foggy half-asleep brain, generally inattentive running (semi-pro level) (2/20/20)

I think people sometimes think of running as a non-contact sport.

I mean, yes, technically that is correct, as your basic running event (5K, 10K, 1/2 marathon, marathon) does not actually involve contact with other people or objects or the ground.

Some of us however, unintentionally practice a different form of running (an offshoot of traditional running training, if you will).  I like to call it:
5 am, foggy half-asleep brain, generally inattentive running

As a 20 year veteran (ok, fine, semi-pro) of 5 am, foggy half-asleep brain, generally inattentive running, I assure you that is a FULL contact sport.

Don't believe me? Please see below:

Location: Arlington, VA (7-11 parking lot)
